Half Day Kindergarten Enrichment Programs provide quality instructional time from educational experts in the areas which your child might not receive during their two and a half hour day at kindergarten Kindergarten Enrichments include: S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) creative art, music, physical education, discovery science, and Spanish.
Your child will learn through various activities designed to educate and entertain all through hands-on and minds-on education and exploration. These enrichments will promote student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, and work through the creative process. These young learners will be the innovators, educations, and leaders of the 21st century.
Half Day Kindergarten Enrichment Programs follow the School District 12 Calendar for days off. Due to the nature of the program the Roselle Park District does not make up days, or refund for days that are cancelled due to weather, or emergencies. All sections are non-refundable (unless cancelled by the District due to low enrollment.) All enrichment sections require payment in full at time of registration, specific enrichment descriptors and weekly schedule will be released in June. Programs must meet class minimums of 8 children enrolled in order to run, and everyone registered will be notified by August 14th on the status of the program. If maximums are reached, we encourage waitlist enrollment and we will consider exceeding the maximum number of participants on a case-by-case basis depending on program provider.
For AM Kindergartners at Spring Hills:
Transportation will be provided for kindergarteners from District 12 Spring Hills School to the CRC, and children will always be escorted from the bus by a park district staff member to the classroom. The overall program is flexible in scheduling and you can choose to select specific enrichments where pick-up and drop-off may be required, or fill your child’s day with learning and fun.
