Welcome to Spring Hills Elementary School!  We are a learning community that promotes growth academically, socially, and emotionally.  We are located in the beautiful town of Roselle, Illinois.  Spring Hills has a staff of approximately 50 amazing people, who are dedicated to making our learning community safe, enriching, and a fun place to be!

Currently we have approximately 470 students, which include students in kindergarten through 5th grade.  There are three sections of each grade, with the exception of 1st grade, where we have four sections. We are fortunate enough to have full day kindergarten, which allows the teachers and students the "gift of time".

Literacy in Learning has been implemented throughout the grade levels.  The program features balanced literacy instruction encompassing reading, writing, spelling, speaking, and listening.  This program guides and facilitates students to become strategic readers and writers in all academic areas.  In addition to literacy, students are studying the concepts of Everyday Math, science, social studies and attend classes in art, music, physical education, and computers/library.

We at Spring Hills School have based our philosophy on the principles of Character Counts!  This program is centered on teaching the six pillars which are Trustworthiness, Fairness, Caring, Respect, Responsibility, and Citizenship.  This is accomplished through special events and classroom activities.  Also, students can become members of the Character Counts! Student Ambassador Program.  These student role models help plan and participate in community service projects.
