INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT ANNUAL NOTICE
Roselle School District 12 is committed to providing a safe environment for the community, staff and students in our care. We seek to limit exposure to pests and pesticides and, therefore, have adopted the State of Illinois Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach to pest control and compliance with the Illinois Lawn Care Application and Notice Act. The IPM approach minimizes the exposure to our community,staff and studentsto pesticides and includes a variety of non-chemical and chemical methods to prevent and eradicate pests. While pesticides may be used to remediate infestations of pests that may be found in the facility and its surrounding grounds, only the least toxic products will be considered and combined with non-chemical methods whenever possible. At the present time District 12 does NOT apply pesticides inside the buildings on a regular basis. Roselle School District 12 assumesthe responsibility of notifying our community,staff and students of any upcoming pest and pesticide treatments. The Illinois Structural Pest Control Act, the Illinois Child Care Act, and the Illinois Lawn Care Products and Notice Act require prior notification to requestors when pesticide application is scheduled to occur.
